White Coat Ceremonies?
I recieved a call the other day from a client of Candid Gifts asking what to give for a White Coat Ceremony? My initial reaction was what is a White Coat Ceremony? So with a little research here is what I found out. A White Coat Ceremony is a relatively new tradtion that is just catching on here in the Mid-West (we always seem to be a little behind) It is a ceremony where a student of medicine, pharmacy, veternairians, etc, recieve their “white coats” and begin seeing patients as they begin the clinical part of their studies. Not all schools create a formal ceremony, but most do gift their students a coat. So, to anwser the what to give question… This occasion is open ended as far as gifting goes. It marks the begining of seeing patients and putting all of their book knowledge into practicle applications. For practical gift givers, I would suggest something they could use, stethscoope, a book on pharmecuticals, or a briefcase. For those of you that gift more on the whimsical side, I would suggest a nice dinner certificate, a thereputic massage, or a designer pen.
